History.

Dayna graduated with honors from both the University of Florida and Parsons School of Design, NYC. Postgraduate work includes studies at School of Visual Arts, Smithsonian and The Art Students League, NYC where she led courses in drawing and anatomy. Dayna also earned a Web Development and Digital Arts degree from Boston University. At present, she is pursuing a degree in UX design from the UX Design Institute. Dayna has lived and worked in New York City and now resides in Washington, DC.

During her time in New York, Dayna worked as an illustrator, designer and creative strategist for companies from TIME Magazine and SONY Music to the NYC Economic Development Corp. before establishing her own practice.

The E.W. Scripps Company relocated Dayna to Washington, DC to serve as Senior Manager and Creative Director where she played a key role in their transformation to the Scripps Media Center. She later worked for international agencies including Ogilvy and Ketchum PR to name a few.

Currently, Dayna is a Creative Director producing designs and illustrations under Federal Occupational Health, serving more than 360 federal agencies and reaching 1.8 million federal employees. In addition, she creates artwork for children’s books, corporate and private commissions and postage stamps around the globe.

Dayna has been an active member of the illustration and design community lending her artistic contributions to numerous boards and volunteer ventures.
